Happy Halloween my Ghoulfriends!! Let me introduce myself, Sheri here from Calico Moon in Historic Lebanon Illinois. My mother and I have owned and operated a primitive home decor and quilt shop for the past 23 years in Lebanon IL. The Quilt Shop section of Calico Moon specializes in Wool Applique, rug hooking and primitive quilting. We carry a very large selection of 100% wools, civil war reproduction fabrics and wovens. We are a brick and mortar store and pride ourselves with our displays and samples, lots of samples made with the fabrics and patterns we sell in the shop. Please like and follow us on Facebook and if you are traveling through Illinois on HWY 64 or 70 we are located right downtown off Route 4. Thank you so much to Stacy who has been very generous to me allowing me to put my own spin on a lot of her designs. I was sending her pictures of samples I had made for the shop, where I had hooked up one of her stitcheries and was doing them in wool applique way before it was the thing to do!!!! I love pulling wool and thread and hope to inspire others with what gives me so much joy! So here is one of the many versions of gameboard quilts I have made in the shop. I kinda went crazy making them in different sizes using some of the very cool Halloween fabric we have for sale this year. You can add some cool wool applique to this already great base! Enjoy! To make one game board cut the following: Cut five 5" squares of Halloween fabric (fussy cut ghosts, cats, spiderwebs or pumpkins) Cut one 2" by 22" strip of white fabric Cut two 2" by 22" strips of black fabrics 15" square of fabric for backing One strip WOF for binding Batting Create a strip set of the Black-‐white-‐black strips by sewing all three together, press seams open and the sub cut this strip into four 5" square blocks. Arrange your gameboard using picture for placement of blocks, sandwich with batting and backing and quilt as desired. Happy Halloween!
