For the first time ever we have three girls teams which is very encouraging for girls football and the development of the club. Mini-soccer (7v7) games are played at Bassingbourn Rec and on the pitch in front of the Village College, 9 v 9 on the pitch behind the Sports Centre while U12-U14 games are played on the Primary School and Village College pitches. The U15s are using the adult pitch at the Rec. A number of long standing coaches have stood down this season and I would like to thank particularly   

Chris Roope who ran last year’s U15s for many years Nick Goldman who has taken our current U15s since they were U7. We are grateful that he is still involved, and Phil French and his team who took the current U13s from U6 until the end of last season.

their assistants and helpers and all of those who help the club. If you are able to help us in any way please contact me or your team manager. - Tom Timms, Chairman

Half-term soccer day We will run a half-term soccer day on Tuesday 30th October at the Village College for all age groups. BYFC coaches will run games, drills and exercises. The cost will be £15 (£10 for second sibling). More details available from your team manager. Numbers will be limited so please book early.

Referees & match fees With our senior teams playing in competitive leagues, we are increasingly having to pay for referees to officiate at our matches. The cost can be up to £40 per match ! We do not have funds to cover this so unfortunately we need to start to charge a £1 match fee to 9 and 11 a side teams for HOME games only.

Dogs Unfortunately dog fouling is a continual problem at the Recreation ground but has also become an issue at the Village College/Primary school. We have been asked to point out that dogs are not permitted on the school pitches. We have also had a similar request from Meridian where some teams train.

U6 Soccer club Our U6 soccer club will run on Saturday mornings from 9:30-10:30 for boys and girls in Year 1 and Reception. The sessions will start on Saturday 10th November.

I am very grateful to all our managers and
