[email protected] HARBOR VIEW HOTEL KICKS-‐OFF THE SUMMER SEASON WITH THE UNVEILING OF LIGHTHOUSE GRILL
EDGARTOWN, Mass. ̶ May 19, 2015 ̶ On Thursday, May 21, Martha’s Vineyard’s renowned Harbor View Hotel will kick-‐off the unofficial start of summer and open its doors to its brand new restaurant, Lighthouse Grill. Formerly known as Water Street, the new Vineyard hotspot will welcome guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner with harbor front views, nautical-‐style décor and contemporary New England-‐style fare. Led by Executive Chef Caleb Lara, Lighthouse Grill’s dedicated culinary team will source the freshest local produce, meats and poultry available from established Vineyard-‐based farms and fishermen for its family-‐friendly menu with a focus on fish and steak entrees. Menu highlights include Smoked Bluefish Paté, Lighthouse Bouillabaisse, Henry’s Black Angus Cheddar Burger, and a classic Shore Dinner featuring whole, boiled lobster. A selection of specialty cocktails and an eclectic wine list will also be available. Lighthouse Grill will be open daily for breakfast with brunch on Sundays, and Thursday-‐Sunday nights for dinner. Starting June 14 it will be open daily for dinner. “I’m excited to share this new menu and concept with our guests, and really show off the amazing local ingredients that Martha’s Vineyard is known for,” said Executive Chef Caleb Lara. Upon entering Lighthouse Grill, guests will be welcomed by a cheerful wait staff decked out in bistro-‐ style uniforms. Its design features nautical-‐style décor inspired by the island’s natural surroundings and prime views of the harbor through expansive windows that surround the restaurant. The dark, hardwood floors are complemented by softly-‐colored walls, upholstered seating and elegant tables.
Through May 31, 20% of dinner proceeds will benefit Island Housing Trust which supports Martha’s Vineyard communities by creating and sustaining permanently affordable housing solutions to low and moderate income island families. “We’re proud to support such an important organization that truly improves the wellbeing of our island community, affording residents the opportunity to thrive on this beautiful island,” said Harbor View Hotel’s General Manager Andrew Bartlett.
