The Hardin School District, located in Hardin, Montana seeks an individual who can provide leadership in developing and maintaining the best possible educational programs and services for our students to serve as our Superintendent starting July 1, 2018. Hardin is a Class A District located in South Central Montana just 50 miles south of Billings, Montana on Interstate 90. The K-12 District serves 2000 students. The Hardin School District includes Hardin High School, Hardin Middle School, Hardin Intermediate School, Hardin Primary, Crow Agency School, Fort Smith School and the Kindergarten Readiness Center. Hardin was officially founded in 1906, but was settled in the early 1880’s by cattle ranchers and later by sheep ranchers. With a current population of 3,829, Hardin lies adjacent and immediately north of the Crow Indian Reservation. The Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation is located approximately 40 miles to the east.
