This module will identify the general principles of harm reduction and lead to an understanding of various models of intervention. It is ideal for people new to the concepts of harm reduction. It will cover the historical and social context out of which harm reduction emerged and how it fits in to an international human rights agenda. It aims to give students a sound understanding of the pragmatic approaches to substance use as well as an understanding of how harm reduction approaches affect working practice. Starts:
