What is at the core of the Origins brand? The balance of nature and science is and has always been at the heart of the Origins brand; we are all about gentle formulas that do not compromise efficacy. The harmony of one’s inner and outer beauty is really important as well, and we constantly aim to create products that can promote this state of wellbeing.

What led to the evolution of Origins’ new store aesthetic and concept? In today’s modern retailing, consumers seek a brand story that they can connect emotionally with and our new Discovery Retail Concept is designed to do just that.

restoring glow, skin can be at its healthiest, most youthful condition again.” This is thanks to the key ingredient, white narcissus lily bulb, a symbol of renewal of the Eastern Mediterranean – where it is sourced – as it blooms year after year. This adaptive flower helps to support skin’s natural repair processes and reawaken youthful and healthy skin cells.

The Three Rs The new Origins Three Part Harmony Oil-infused Serum for Renewal, Repair and Radiance and Three Part Harmony Nourishing Cream for Renewal, Repair and Radiance retail at RM307 each.

The all-new Three Part Harmony range, which consists of an Oil-infused Serum and a Nourishing Cream, also feature a feminine blend of citrus and floral notes which complete the skin renewal experience. The change in product texture is evident, too. “Both formulas are as rich as they are nourishing, but they are not overwhelming at all as they are formulated to provide maximum absorption, making them ideal even in a humid climate like Malaysia,” adds Stéphane. For more luminous skin, use one to two pumps of the Three Part Harmony Oil-infused Serum after cleansing and toning. Pat gently onto skin, and follow up with a dollop of the Three Part Harmony Nourishing Cream on the face and neck. Both formulas are suitable for day and night use.

rink plenty of water”, “be diligent with your skincare”, “eat your fruits and vegetables”, you’ve heard it all before. Chances are, you incorporate all these tips in your lifestyle too. And yet, your skin is still lacking that desired glow, as if your skin cells are lacking vitality. Studies have shown that with age, internal stress and environmental assaults, our skin becomes damaged and cells enters senescence, a “sleeping state” in which they don’t function normally as they previously did. This leads to a decline in cellular energy and skin’s natural collagen production, and skin begins to lose its youthful bounce and radiance. Armed with this discovery, Origins developed its latest skincare line called Three Part Harmony.

At the core of the Three Part Harmony range stands three foundations of skin harmony – Renewal, Repair and Radiance. Stéphane de la Favarie, Senior Vice President, Global General Manager of Origins, sheds light on these three pillars, “We have found that these three parts are essential for a youthful appearance. With the growth of the trend for health and wellbeing around the world, what is Origins’ point of difference? Origins was at the forefront of promoting this trend 25 years ago, a time where health and wellbeing were not on the priority list at all. Whether it was then or now, we are still the brand consumers have come to know – we only use ingredients from sustainable sources and give back to community that way.

How do you want consumers to feel in the new Discovery Retail Concept? It is designed to appeal to consumers who are looking to uncover more of the brand’s story. In order to create a strong retailer-consumer bond, we need to make them a part of the brand’s journey and we are convinced that the new concept will achieve just that. Also, while most products don’t differ much by country, we do try to localise each outlet by the country’s skincare habits as part of our effort to connect with our customers. W

ARE YOU READY TO EXPLORE?

Echoing the brand ethos, ‘Never stop discovering’, Origins welcomes the New Year with the unveiling of its all-new, interactive retail model which highlights three key concepts to encourage consumer exploration and engagement: EXPLORER’S STUDIO Your journey starts with stories about the discovery, heritage and provenance of the brand’s ingredients are scattered on the shelves.

SERVICE INNOVATION For a personalised shopping experience, Origins’ latest concept allows consumers to have the option of experimenting and exploring on their own or receiving a personal consultation from expert guides. A large communal sink serves as a centerpiece where you can engage with the products and indulge in an informal skincare consultation. A product sample wall gives you the opportunity to select and test the products at home before purchasing. Personalise gifts all year round with Origins’ complimentary Everyday Gifting service. A separate wall presents the brand’s signature bath and body products that promote wellness and sensorial relaxation.

BOTANIST’S LABORATORY With white tiles, metal shelves and filing cabinets, this modern-day science lab is a floor-to-ceiling greenhouse wall that evokes feelings of wonder while an ornate essential oil display brings the brand’s iconic sensorial elements to life. Here, you will also get to learn the products, powerful ingredients as well as the clinical claims and proof of efficacy that validate these gifts of nature.
