Communications Survey Results   Most people are happy with their communication at the church level   Few are satisfied with communication within their region   Only half are satisfied with communication from the diocese   Most interested in News from other churches, Education offerings, Information from the Bishop, Upcoming events, Information from The Episcopal Church

Communication Where do we go from here?   People still want print   65% want news via email. Need to continue to promote eSpirit.   Seeking volunteers from diocese to serve on a subcommittee that explores, evaluates, design, and implements new communication avenues for our churches, regions, and the diocese.

Finance   People are not clear on the structure and spending of the diocesan finances.   People are not clear on the structure and spending of the Foundation.   People do not understand the relationship between the diocese and the Foundation.   People do want to know how there money is being spent on the church, diocesan, and national levels.

Finance Where do we go from here?   Share and explain how diocesan and Foundation monies are being spent on a regular basis.   Continue to educate the diocese on the role of the Foundation and its relationship with the diocese.   Things that we’ve already done.

Education   Our members are clearly interested in continuing education.   Key areas of interest are Bible Study, what Episcopalians believe, and ways to grow our church.   People are comfortable with both in-person and learning via the web.

Education Where do we go from here?   Provide education opportunities that speak to our membership.   Partner with our institutions (Cathedral, Commission on Ministry, Thomas the Apostle Center, Reservation) to grow our education offerings.

Institutions   The Cathedral has an opportunity to become a resource for our diocese.   HR Camp is not attended because of location, expense, and youth are involved in other activities.   The Reservation is a misunderstood resource.   Thomas the Apostle Center is well known within our diocese, and have an opportunity to grow this.

Institutions Where do we go from here?   How can we maximize HR Camp?   How can we maximize the Cathedral?   How can we assist Thomas the Apostle Center in their mission?   Define the relationship between the reservation and the diocese. How can these be reciprocal?

Ministry Delivery   We ARE a Eucharistic church.   Our Vestries are strong and effective.   63% feel that their church’s relationship with the diocese is good or great.   Our churches desire to grow by adding youth and young adults.

Ministry Delivery Where do we go from here?   Help our congregations with discernment.   How do we invite youth, young adults, and families to join us?   How can we help you celebrate your successes?

Attractive Church   We are welcoming to all comers.   We are happy with our churches.   We are outreach driven AND we are called to be so.   Greatest issue is aging population.

Attractive Church Where do we go from here?   How do become attractive to our community and share who we are?   How do we attract youth, young adults, and families?   How do we do outreach with fewer dollars and/ or members?   How do we balance outreach with in reach?
