Help Fill Flood Buckets!
Help us fill flood buckets for UMCOR by bringing donations of the items below to the Fall Festival. 5 gallon buckets with resealable lids Dish soap • Air freshener Insect repellant spray • Scrub brush • Handi-wipes or reusable wipes • Sponges • Scouring pads Clothespins • Clothesline Heavy duty trash bags • Dust masks Disposable kitchen gloves • Work gloves
All items must be new except for the actual bucket and lid. All cleaning agents must be liquid and in plastic containers. No powders please. If you cannot find the requested size of a liquid item, use a smaller size. Including larger sizes of any item will prevent the lid from sealing.

Shop and Share Sunday, October 30 On Sunday, October 30 and November 6, the FUMC Guatemala Missions team will be selling handcrafted items made by the Pokomaya Cooperative. Guided and empowered by Hope of the Pokomchi, this cooperative of Mayan women create beautiful purses, bags, aprons and more from traditional fabrics. The money earned from their sales increases their meager family incomes and gains them respect in the community. Don’t miss this opportunity to purchase one- of- a -kind gifts and bless our sisters in Guatemala at the same time.
We are pleased to announce that Rev. June Franck has joined the staff of First United Methodist Church McKinney as the Associate Pastor, Pastoral Care. June served as Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care at First United Methodist Church of Allen for 15 years. June’s vast experiences included Pastoral Care Ministries, Senior Ministries, Drama, Caring Support Ministries, Special Worship Services, and United Women. June became Chaplain for the Allen Police Department in 2004 and continues to serve as Chaplain.

The Caldwell Angel Tree will be available to adopt Angels starting Sunday 11/13/16 between and after all Services. We have 386 Angels that we have been asked to adopted this year. If you are a Mentor and would like to adopt your child, if he/she are part of the Angel Tree program, please contact Ann Spaight at 214-566-5600 or [email protected]. Leave your mentee’s name and I will look to see if they are part of the program. If you would like to adopt a family please let Ann Spaight know and how many children you would like and she will match you up with a family. All requests for Mentee’s and Families need to be given to Ann Spaight no later that 11/11/16. After cards are started to be put on the tree, requests can no longer be taken. If anyone has any questions, please contact Ann at 214-566-5600.
