Henke's Almond Cake

1 cup butter 2 cups sugar 4 eggs, separate one of these into yolk and white 2 cups flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. almond extract dash of milk 1 cup sliced almonds 1. Mix butter and sugar. add three eggs and the white one at a time. Mix well after each addition. 2. In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder. 3. Mix almond extract into the butter mixture, then add in the flour mix. 4. Oil two pie plates. Spread mixture into the pie plates. 5. Mix remaining yolk with a dash of milk. Spread over cake mix. Sprinkle with sliced almonds. 6. Bake 30 minutes at 350F
