Camp Director Jason Childs Mercer University Director of Athletics Bobby Pope announced the appointment of Jason Childs as the school’s first Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach on September 8, 2009. Childs, who comes to Mercer from Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., will take over the University’s club team for the 2010 season and then move the program to NCAA Division I status for the 2010-11 academic year. A native of Baltimore, Md., Childs was a four year starter and two year teamcaptain as an attackman and midfielder at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. Prior to taking the head job at Presbyterian in 2005 he served as an assistant coach at Limestone College in Gaffney, S.C. from 2003-2005 where he helped guide the Saints to consecutive NCAA DII National Championship Games. Childs also has taught and coach at the high school level in Ga. at Darlington School in Rome, Ga. from 2001-2003.

Camp Co Directors Walton Crosby — Coach Crosby reunited with his former college coach Jason Childs . Crosby is a 2008 graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., where he joined Childs in founding the Blue Hose’s men’s lacrosse program in 2006. Crosby had 24 career starts at PC as a midfielder and was a team captain, while also setting single game records for face-offs won and face-off percentage. As a senior, he had had the honor of being the recipient - and namesake for - Presbyterian’s inaugural "Charles Walton Crosby Unsung Hero Award” in recognition for unselfish play and contributions to the team’s success. Justin Hager — Coach Hager joined Mercer University’s staff in 2010-11 as the Bears fielded the school’s inaugural men’s lacrosse team. Hager spent 2009-2010 in Manchester, England coaching club lacrosse at Manchester University and developed club lacrosse with the Timperley Club. He also had a role in hosting the World Lacrosse Games with the English Lacrosse Association. Hager was a two-sport athlete at Hobart College, starring on its NCAA Division I lacrosse team, as well as its DIII football team. In lacrosse, Hager was Hobart’s team captain in 2008-09 and started all 14 games his senior year, while tallying 13 starts (out of 14 games) his junior year as a defender.
Cost-$150 Per Player CAMP PREMISE At All American Lacrosse Camp you will learn the fundamentals that are needed for you to excel in the sport of lacrosse. We will focus on educating the players of tomorrow how to get started today. Each day will start with individual skills sets, and will evolve to include riding, clearing, and the aspects that make the game of lacrosse so unique. This camp will meet the criteria needed to be an IMLCA camp event. A camp that you can be proud to be a part of! STAFF Coach Childs will bring together both collegiate coaches and collegiate players from NCAA Division I Colleges. The staff will be hand picked to create a quality lacrosse camp that will enhance your knowledge of the game and how to play the game at a different level.
