Her Majesty The Queen Visit to Lister Community School on Thursday 3rd March 2016. Celebrating the opportunities for young people provided through The Queen’s Trust.
Dear Guest We are delighted to be able to welcome you on the occasion of Her Majesty The Queen’s visit to Lister. Lister is genuinely a Community School, and the whole of Plaistow and Newham are proud that we have been chosen to help celebrate the work of the Queen’s Trust. It is a pleasure and a privilege to work with young people in Newham. Our goal is to provide young people here with the world class education which we believe they deserve. Because of our ambitious and positive young people and thanks to our committed and talented staff we have made tremendous progress in recent years in achieving that goal. Along the way we have been greatly helped by the close involvement of a wide range of partners. These partners share our passionate belief in the potential of young people, and in the importance of high academic standards, a caring, safe and supportive environment, and a broad rounded education. Many of these partner organisations providing exciting opportunities for young people receive vital support from the Queen’s Trust. We are honoured that Her Majesty is here with us today to celebrate the Trust’s enormous contribution to transforming young people’s lives not only here but in thousands of other schools across the country.
