Dear Parents of Hickory Elementary School Students: Have you been searching for an after school child care provider for your Hickory Elementary School student who truly cares about your child? Hickory United Methodist Church After School Day Care recognizes that every child is different and needs individual care and attention. We pick your child up from the school cafeteria every day and safely escort them to our day care facility (within walking distance – no more long bus rides). We give them a healthy snack, help them complete all of their homework and provide ample time for recreational activities all before pick-up time. Imagine being able to sit down for dinner without having to worry about persuading your child to finish his/her homework at the end of the day. Imagine knowing that after extra-curricular activities, there will not be any struggle to get homework done late in the evening. We work individually with your child and in cooperation with your child’s teacher to ensure your child is getting the help he or she needs for proper growth and development in school. We offer: • Pickup at school • A healthy snack before homework • Assistance with homework • Quiet reading time • Outdoor recreation on the school playground (or indoor games & crafts during inclement weather) Our hours are 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday-Friday. We also offer full day care on some holidays and teacher workdays. Our rates are very affordable and we offer flexible payment plans. We are highly recommended by parents and teachers alike.
