WEST DES MOINES SOCCER CLUB Hidden Valley Parking Lot Traffic Flow & Safety Standards To ensure the safety of soccer players arriving and leaving training sessions, the following expectations and rules apply to driving a motorized vehicle in the Hidden Valley parking lot. Non-compliance with the Hidden Valley Parking Lot Traffic Flow & Safety Standards will be considered a violation of the Parent/Player Code of Conduct. Traffic Flow Standards (see diagram below): Traffic flows in a counter-clockwise direction. Directional arrows on the parking lot surface indicate proper direction of traffic flow. Exiting parking lot: If possible, exit to the west (right) to avoid congestion. Entering parking lot: If arriving from the west, please be courteous of drivers exiting to the east (turning left). If possible, take turns with those exiting east so as to alleviate congestion within the parking lot. Drop-Off Standards Include: Training on Pitch 1, 2 and 5 (see Pitch Diagram below) o Properly park in a marked parking stall for player to exit car and walk to practice location. (Recommend escorting players U10 and younger) Only vehicles displaying a state issued handicap designation may use the handicap parking stalls. o Drop-off at or near the northwest gate is recommended. Use of the south flowing west lane is not permitted for getting to the northwest gate. Training on Pitch 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 (see Pitch Diagram below) o Properly park in a marked parking stall for player to exit car and walk to practice location. (Recommend escorting players U10 and younger) Only vehicles displaying a state issued handicap designation may use handicap parking stalls. o Drop-off at Main Entrance. While staying to the right half of the travel lane (do not use the handicapped parking stalls), pull as far north, toward the last left turn lane, as possible; and, have riders exit from the passenger side of the vehicle. This will allow for multiple vehicles to let players out of their vehicles at the same time, while minimizing vehicle backup toward the parking lot entrance. Pick-Up Standards Include: Players U10 and younger o Properly park in a marked parking stall. Only vehicles displaying a state issued handicap designation may use handicap parking stalls. o Meet player(s) at entrance gate or training location o Escort player(s) to parked vehicle (Recommended) Players U11 – Above o Properly park in a marked parking stall.
