Why High Performance Development? “We brought Andy Thomson in as HPD Director because we care for our players”, said Girls Director of Coaching, Iggy Moleka. “Andy had offers from around the world but fell in love with our UFA vision right here in Atlanta, GA. With a knowledge of elite player development and the applied scientific principles behind soccer performance enhancement Andy comes to direct our HPD department with not only a vision, but a wealth of soccer experience and contacts as is demonstrated by part in the World Expert Meeting in Barcelona.” So how will this affect the UFA girls program? “We have invested in this like no other club in the Georgia. Bringing in an expert like Andy will see our program raise the bar yet again. Through devising and implementing our High Performance plan, working closely with existing staff and continuing to build our unique UFA playing style through periodized conditioning and injury prevention.” The message is simple – “It is vital we continue to progress our unique UFA playing style and develop elite players. By applying our periodization methodology coupled with our movement and injury prevention strategies. UFA is the place to be in all facets of the game of youth soccer.”
