WHY DO YOU NEED A MATTRESS PROTECTOR? The human body loses up to 1 litre of fluid every night which gives dust mites the perfect breeding ground and increases susceptibility of allergies and skin conditions.
A mattress is the perfect place for dust mites to live, they have a plentiful supply of skin particles passing through the fabric layers. A mattress can contain up to 2 million of these mites all living just below the surface.
DUST MITES The house dust mite gets its name from its habitat – household dust. The main component of dust is shed skin flakes, which is the mite’s preferred food source. Areas around the home that are heavily used, such as beds and upholstered furniture, will have much higher mite populations than the rest of the house. Dust mites have been associated with skin and respiratory allergies in humans, such as eczema and asthma. Their bodies secretions and faeces contain particular proteins that can trigger allergic symptoms in susceptible people.
HOW TO CARE FOR A MATTRESS PROTECTOR All Bonne Santé Mattress protectors are easy and convenient to clean. Care instructions are included on the Sewn in Label and are as follows:
• Warm Machine Wash 60°C • May be tumble dried • Warm to max 60°C • Do not bleach • Do not iron • Do not Dry Clean • Do not use solvents
WARRANTY INFORMATION Bonne Santé Guarantee that any Mattress Protector purchased from the range will be free from defects and deterioration when used in accordance to the care label and also within the warranty period. We will replace any Mattress Protector which has been assessed to show manufacturing defects or has deteriorated within the warranty period. If the Mattress has been damaged due to a defective Mattress Protector, we will arrange for the mattress to be professionally cleaned. If this is still not satisfactory to the consumer, we will arrange to have the mattress replaced. Mattress’s will only be cleaned or replaced upon proof that a Mattress Protector was purchased the same time as the mattress.

All Bonne Santé items have passed the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 independent testing and certification. This testing is for harmful substances and chemicals in each of the textiles used. Our factory has this renewed annually.
