STORY BAM relocated a growing Hitachi branch to a larger facility with sales and logistics offices and a regional warehouse facility. We interviewed the local end user teams and studied their material movement process to identify key adjacencies among different departments and functions as well as redundancies and inefficiencies. This effort helped to consolidate the functions into a streamlined operation with the minimal square footage required. In developing the design, BAM worked closely with Hitachi to maintain the design standards we had helped Hitachi develop over the many years working with the Hitachi team. The application of the standards helped to provide a consistency across regions for Hitachi employees, who frequently travel between locations, and clients alike.
