Regional Development Officer (Leinster) UCD Belfield €25000 per annum Hockey Ireland National Development Manager 37.5 hours Permanent (6 month probationary period)
Job Purpose: This position is responsible the delivery of the key areas of Hockey Ireland National Development Plan as directed by the National Development Manager. The Regional Development Officer (Leinster) is responsible for administering and delivering programmes to promote sustainable participation opportunities within clubs and schools in Leinster. Access to private transport is required as successful candidate will need to travel throughout the Leinster region. This role requires flexibility with regards to working hours. Main duties and responsibilities as set out by the current National Development Plan (subject to change with new 2017 plan): Responsibilities include:
Ensuring Hockey Agents achieve agreed targets Delivering on agreed targets for Tricks 4 Sticks Delivering on agreed targets for the Hockey Skills Challenge Delivering on agreed targets for Quick Hockey centres in Leinster Administration and delivery of Clubmark in Leinster Delivery of the Leinster Hockey Association Club Networking Workshops Delivery of coaching and umpiring courses Conducting the annual club participation survey in Leinster Work within agreed project budgets and timescales Produce monthly reports for HI and LHA Due to the evolving nature of sports development, responsibilities may be subject to change
General:
Work closely with Leinster Hockey Association and develop strong relationships with schools and clubs in the region Work closely with other Hockey Ireland staff Attend appropriate meetings as directed by National Development Manager Assist in applying for funding and delivering on funding requirements Work in partnership with other sporting bodies Any other duties as may be allocated from time to time in accordance with the general nature of the post
