Jewel Club-November/December 2015: Holiday Table Cloth & BONUS Thread Catcher Over the next two months we will be working with Design Shaping, Positioning/ placement, sandwiching fabrics to cover embroidery stitches, mitered corners, pictogram stitches, and decorative stitches. One design will be purchased from My Embroideries.com and the other is created with Design Shaping. Participants will also have additional designs altered by the instructor to create a different look if desired. We will be sandwiching Borders A. & C. to hide the embroideries on the back. This creates a neater finish and all seams will be enclosed except for the hem. November Class: Work on Design Positioning, positioning /placement, pictogram stitches, and decorative stitches. Embroider in class. Begin construction if time is available. December Class: Construction and finishing stitches. Make the tread catcher. This is our annual potluck. The instructor usually brings soup and the class brings side dishes, desserts, etc. Once again we will plan on eating at 12:30 so both classes can share the fellowship and have a chance to visit with old and new friends. Prior to class, please cut the fabrics and mark the pieces to be embroidered as follows. Lightly starch the cotton fabrics prior to class –not enough time to dry them in class. Niagaria Spray Starch is good for this. (Spray the cottons, let them air dry, and press they have body)
