Hollersbach The quaint village of Hollersbach is located at the heart of the upper Pinzgau region close to the Salzach River in Austria’s Salzburg Province. This dairy farming village was founded in 1160 and is set against a breathtaking back drop of the Hohe Tauern mountains and icy peak of the Grossvenediger at 3,666m. Hollersbach is situated at the south end of the Kitzbühel Alps with direct access to the Kitzbühel skiing area. The region features 220km of magnificent skiing and Europe’s longest toboggan run at 14km! In Hollersbach’s immediate vicinity there are many pretty restaurants and shops and with the neighbouring towns of Mittersill and Stuhlfelden a short drive away, you are spoilt for choice in both summer and winter. The trendy

medieval town of Kitzbühel is just 25 minutes away and is full of chic buildings and shops with cobbled streets which are bursting with traditional Austrian charm. At nearby Zell am See, again only 25 minutes away, you can soak up the summer sun and take a relaxing boat ride or cool off in the crystal clear lake. Lying within the Hohe Tauern National Park, Europe’s largest nature reserve, and with such beautiful surroundings, Hollersbach is truly the perfect alpine retreat. The village is conveniently located only 1 hour 40 minutes from Salzburg and Innsbruck airports and 2 hours 20 minutes from Munich airport. It is also possible to get there by train from Salzburg.

Winter Activities

Winter Hollersbach is located at the heart of the Kitzbühel ski region, one of the most legendary sports areas in the Alps, and with 173km of skiing on offer including the Hahnenkamm downhill race, it is not hard to see why. The region offers fantastic pistes with 91km of blue runs, 57km of red runs and 25km of black runs and with extensive snow cannon coverage now compensating for the lower altitudes, you can enjoy skiing here from early December through to late May. The spectacular and world famous Hahnenkamm downhill race takes place in Kitzbühel every January and is known as the toughest race of the World Cup circuit. The ‘Streif’ run on the Hahnemkamm is 3,200m long and racers can hit speeds of 88mph - this fantastic event attracts nearly 50,000 spectators every season! The new 8 person Panoramabahn gondola ski lift connects Hollersbach directly with the Kitzbühel ski area along with it’s numerous ski schools and a further 500km network of cross-country trails. If this wasn’t enough, you can experience the wonderful ‘ski safari’ tour starting from Hollersbach. Here you can reach the Kitzbühel Streif without having to take your skis off and

journey along the tricable areal ropeway – a ride where you are suspended 400m above the ground! Snowboarders will be kept busy too with the Kitzbühel Horn mountain’s two half pipes, quarter pipe and sprint slalom courses. A table jump allows jumps from 5m to 10m and the Hanglalm snowpark is complete with boxes, kickers and rails. Hollersbach is just five minutes from Bramberg’s 55km of family friendly pistes which comprise of 25km of blue runs, 22km of red runs and 8km of black runs. The wide open slopes are uncrowded and make for beautiful skiing through snow capped trees. For an adrenaline rush you can try the longest toboggan run in Europe! Bramberg’s famous 14km run is floodlit so the whole family can enjoy tobogganing amongst the stars.
