Homer Athletic Club September Meeting Thursday, December 13, 2012
Meeting called to order by John Kruczek at 8:05 p.m. Roll Call Present: John Kruczek, Ken Marcin, Steve Bruton, Pat Greany, Mark Schulthies, Dave Regan, Chris Moore Open Forum None Secretary Report There was a motion by Ken Marcin to accept November’s Secretary report. Steve Bruton seconded the motion. Motion carries.
Treasury Report Pat Greany read the treasurer’s report. Ken Marcin made a motion to accept the report, Chris Moore seconded the motion. Motion carries.
Committee Reports Baseball: Lemont has had low registration for baseball and softball and has inquired about playing games with Homer. Need to put together a committee to look at playing with both Lockport and Lemont. Ken, Steve and Mark are going to get together with reps from Lockport and Lemont.
Softball: Mark wants to have Ross Raspopovich as Director for the 12u rec softball. Mark will handle 12u Fire.
Boys Basketball: Boys have uniforms Pictures are Saturday 12/17 w/ Legends Girls Basketball: Uniforms 12/17 Championships 2/23 Volleyball: Katie and Ken went for 33c gym time. Got 20% of time requested at Butler and 0% of time at Young because of basketball. Season looking to go 2/12 to 4/26 Equipment already at Hadley, Young, Butler and Schilling Ken Hanouw to talk with umpires to resolve problems they had last year with tax forms. Full-time Travel Baseball: Had uniform fitting, manager’s choice for home/away 10% of tournaments to club Looking to put calendar on website
Part-time Fire Baseball: Fire to mirror Heat uniform change Fire has 9, 11and 1pm slot on Sundays Sunday League begins 4/15 Deadline to register for Sunday League is 2/27 Part-time Fire Softball: No Report.
Full-time Travel Softball: Uniforms from Sports Huddle, fittings in January Indoor training to begin 1/5 12u calendars are on website
Field Maintenance: Sports Field Inc to consult about fields Email Steve Bruton w/ any problem spots we know of on Fields 1, 2 and 3 New L screen in batting cage Circle tractor will do the maintenance on our equipment Per Circle, no maintenance has been done since spring 2011 Equipment maintenance $300 for gators, $425 tractor, %300 zero turn mower, $225 for lawn mower. Concession: No Report. Equipment: Baseball uniform fittings went well Reordering Basketball uniforms where needed Sponsorship: John Kruczek to talk to Steve Ballich about Homer Chamber of Commerce Edward Jones was the first sponsor this year with $1000
