HONING
VISION Isaiah 6:1-8
HOLY ATTITUDE • “Here am I, send me” Isaiah 6:8b • Holy: • holiness is basically being dedicated to God • PS They did keep the “Holy” pots clean, so we should seek to live right
HOLY ATTITUDE • Attitude: • “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: • The attitude of Jesus was one of submission, service, and sacrifice
HOLY ATTITUDE • We begin to understand what is needed to hone vision, to make it workable in our community and church, a holy attitude
HOLY ATTITUDE • This personal sense of responsibility and ownership is vital for all of us to move forward in faith
• “Whatever it takes”
HEART MOTIVATION • When we think about vision we need to recognise the differences in the aspects of the overall plan which will motivate and excite us
HEART MOTIVATION • God’s grace is given in different ways to each of us
HEART MOTIVATION • S = Spiritual Gifts
• They are to be encouraged, sought after and used
HEART MOTIVATION • S = Spiritual Gifts • H = Heart
• “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart” Psalm 37:4
HEART MOTIVATION • S = Spiritual Gifts • H = Heart
• We then discern the hearts motivation which will inspire and enthuse us

• Passion about people • Passion about roles • Passion about causes

• Does it glorify God? • Does it edify (build up/ encourage) others?

• As individuals we all have different natural abilities

• Our personalities or temperament will influence how we unpack the vision God has given us
