Hood Insert Fan Speed Limitation Jumper removal
Range Hood Inserts are shipped with exhaust fans limited to 350 CFM. To REMOVE THIS LIMITATION and allow fans to reach full speed of 600 CFM or greater, follow this simple 2 minute procedure. Do not connect power yet (or make sure power is off). 1. This is the range hood insert as shipped. Note the two circuit box covers shown. One is the power connection box (to house power), the other houses the solid state control board.
2. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to open the larger of the two box covers.
3. Locate the jumper on the left side of the exposed circuit board.
4. Move it from its present “on” top position (pull off).
5. To this new bottom “off” position (push back on).
Now you are finished. Fan will be able to run at the maximum CFM output. Put back the cover box over the circuit board.
