ANNOUNCEMENTS NEW BULLETIN FORMAT—We are testing a new format for worship bulletins. Please let us know any of your suggestions by filling out one of the comment cards on the cart in Fellowship Hall. “ENHANCE YOUR DAILY WALK WITH GOD”— This is the theme of this new Sunday morning Bible Study led by Pastor, beginning today. Please join us in Fellowship Hall at 9:30 am. BAPTIZED TODAY — Jamie and Carson Sweeney will be baptized at the 10:30 worship service this morning. We rejoice with them and their family! WE EXTEND OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY—to Jeff & Fumino Miller and family on the death of Jeff’s mom this week. ATTENTION PARENTS OF 6TH, 7TH & 8TH GRADERS—Confirmation classes will begin on Sunday, September 10th. There will be an orientation meeting for parents and confirmation students on Sunday, August 20th, at noon, in the church office. BLESSING OF THE BACKPACKS WILL BE NEXT SUNDAY—All students are invited to bring their backpacks to worship and we will have a special blessing during the service. "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE: AN ANNUAL GALA SUPPORTING LIVEUCF"—will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at 6pm at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. LiveUCF is a church on the campus of the University of Central Florida that is supported by local congregations. Tickets are $40 and will include a plated meal, open bar, a silent auction and guest speaker: Tom Eggebrecht, author of Fully and Creatively Alive and pastor at Ascension Lutheran in Casselberry (tomeggebrecht.com).
