Grace Fellowship Church and the Mokena community are coming together in an effort to provide supplies and relief to residents in Dickinson, TX, one of the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Harvey. Supplies and assistance may also be directed to Florida for Hurricane Irma relief efforts if resources are sufficient.
How to Help
Community Supply Drive – Purchase items from the Approved Hurricane Relief Supply List and drop them off at a designated supply collection location. Supply lists are available online at www.mokena.org and www.gfcmokena.org. Gift Cards – Purchase gift cards from the stores listed on the Approved Hurricane Relief Supply List and take them to Grace Fellowship Church. Monetary Donations - Monetary donations are greatly needed to help cover freight and additional supply needs once the volunteer team arrives in Texas. Cash or check donations can be dropped off at Grace Fellowship Church. Cash should be in an envelope marked “Hurricane Relief Fund” and donor information and address should be provides for tax letters. Checks should be made payable to Grace Fellowship Church with "Hurricane Relief Fund" in the memo section. Grace Fellowship Church will mail tax donation letters to donors and insure the integrity of all donations by forwarding 100% of all monies collected to hurricane relief efforts. Please contact Grace Fellowship Church if you would like to make a credit card donation.
Volunteers – Needed to help make phone calls, run errands, organize volunteers and assist with supply drive coordination. Volunteers also needed on September 23 to work the pancake breakfast fundraiser and to assist with the supply collection, sorting, organizing, packing and shipping preparations. Community service hours are available.
