How to sign-up for a Coach Course (6U – 10U Coaches): This is in two parts: registering for the ONLINE classwork, and the LIVE fieldwork. Important: Review the Coach Page of our website (link here), to find an appropriate Field Session to attend. In our Region both online and in-person portions need to be completed to be considered ready-to-coach.

1. Login to www.aysou.org. You will need to use the same login you used to register as a volunteer via www.aysosm.org (also known as Blue Sombrero).

2. Select the eCommerce option on the menu bar. This is where all of the Online Content is hosted (except for Safe Haven & Concussion – you will find them under “Free Content”.)

3. Select the appropriate course and click “See Details”. In the example here, we are an 8U coach. For this age-group this is the only coach-specific training course we need.

4. Click Buy Now. This will start the purchase process.

5. Enter your Billing Information, then click “Review Order” at the bottom of the page. Note that, in San Mateo Region – we will be providing vouchers (on the next screen) – but this screen cannot be skipped.

6. On the Review page, enter the Voucher Code supplied by your Region Contact. Then click Place Order. The order will be processed, and you will receive a confirmation, plus instructions on how to download the manual. Note: You should review/print this manual – it has exceptional content that will make your life as a coach significantly easier. It will also be useful for the field session. 7. Click on “My Courses” on the menu, and review your new course. You will see it listed, together with any other courses you have registered for.

12. Click “Register”. You will be signed-up. Expect an email from the coach instructor closer to the course start date.

13. Review your registration – Click on “Live Courses” menu option, and navigate to the date you originally selected. You should see the course listed first, with a status of “Registered”.
