HOW WILL MY STUDENT BUY LUNCH? Upper and Middle School Students In the Upper and Middle School, food and beverage items are offered a la carte. Students will use a declining balance (debit) account through My School Bucks or cash to pay for purchases. When students come to the check-out register, they will enter their own personal identification number (PIN) and the cashier will deduct the value from the account balance. For added security, a picture of the student will show up on the check-out register terminal after the PIN is entered. Students will not be allowed to access another student’s account.
Lower and Experiential School Students: Parents may also use a credit card and set up their student with a declining balance account through My School Bucks to pay for lunch. Lower and Experiential School students will be served a complete balanced and healthy meal, no items will be offered a la carte. Lunch in the Lower School will consist of an entrée with side dishes, a small salad, fresh fruit and a beverage at a cost of $5.00. In addition this year, a wide array of new selections will be available. Lunch in the Experiential School will consist of an entreé, side dishes, fresh fruit and a beverage at a cost of $4.35. Lower and Experiential School students will not use a PIN number to access their declining balance account. Instead the cashier will look up the student’s account by homeroom and deduct the meal charge from the student’s account balance.

MY SCHOOL BUCKS: DECLINING BALANCE ACCOUNT – HOW DO I SIGN UP? SAGE offers parents access to set up and manage their student’s declining balance account through a website called My School Bucks. Using the declining balance system to purchase lunch will speed up service so students can enjoy more time eating lunch. Visit the www.shorecrest.org and under the Student Life Toolbar, click on Food Service to learn more about My School Bucks, weekly menus, special events, nutritional information and more.
Why Should I Use My School Bucks? 1. View what your student purchases in the dining hall. 2. Add funds to your student’s account any time of day or night. 3. Add funds using a credit card.* 4. It’s safe and secure. Students do not need to carry cash to school.
SAGE Dining Services® will happily accept checks or cash to establish a balance in your student’s account. Mail your check to SAGE Dining Services® c/o Shorecrest Preparatory School or bring payment to the Central Administration Building. Please include your student’s full name and ID number on the memo line of your check. *My School Bucks charges a convenience fee for using a credit card to add funds to your student’s account.
Enrollment in the meal plan is optional. The annual plan represents a 10% savings over the daily lunch price! We hope you will participate in this great opportunity.
