1. What is the HP Renew Program? The HP Renew Program offers an extensive portfolio of quality HP certified remanufactured products as a complement to new HP products. Through an extensive process of remanufacturing and recertification, HP Renew offers you current, state of the art technology that is guaranteed to be the same quality and performance you would expect from new, and comes with the same original warranty as equivalent new product. Our high standards of quality assurance deliver a product that is not only HP branded, but cost compelling. Our list price is lower than new, and most of our products are offered on aggressive promotions, thus delivering you a high performance, low cost solution when price really counts. Back to top

3. How are HP Renew products remanufactured? Remanufactured HP products undergo a rigorous process in factories owned and managed by HP to completely restore them to their original factory condition and performance. Every product in the HP Renew portfolio is thoroughly tested to ensure that they meet the same stringent standards as new products and, once verified, they are backed by a same-as-new HP warranty. In addition, service and support options are equivalent to that offered with new HP products and the most current software and firmware revisions are installed. Back to top
4. What type of warranty comes with HP Renew products? All products in the HP Renew Program come with same-as-new warranties. In other words, there is no difference between a new HP product warranty and an HP Renew product warranty. The original, same-as-new warranty starts at the time the HP Renew solution is delivered and is NOT a remaining warranty policy. As an example, if a new product has a three year warranty, the Renew solution will carry a three year warranty from the time the customer takes delivery. Additionally, all products in the HP Renew Program can have their warranties uplifted to accommodate Critical System Support, extended to 3Yr 24x7 or HP Care Packs. Basically, any support uplift that is available for new product is also available for HP Renew product. Back to top
5. How can I make money selling remanufactured products in the HP Renew portfolio? The HP Renew Program can help you increase sales, win new customers, and retain existing ones. Save up to 50% below new list price on HP Renew products, in addition to aggressive promotional discounts. HP Renew Enterprise products are also included in Value Express Pricing (VEP) with discounted pricing to partners and the Value Big Deals process can be used if more aggressive discounts need to be requested. The HP Renew portfolio is a complement to new products and a great sales tool that is available to help you close more business. 6. When is it appropriate to consider a remanufactured solution? Consider HP Renew if you or your customer can answer “yes” to any of the following questions: • Does your customer need to upgrade or expand an existing environment? • Are your customers asking for aggressive discounts? • Does your customer face budget constraints but still wants top quality HP certified products backed by same-as-new warranty, service and support? • Are there inventory constraints on new product or does your customer need products that have been discontinued as new? • Does your customer have application and/or operating environment specific hardware requirements that can’t be met by new products? • Do you want to purchase fully remanufactured solutions from a trusted manufacturer rather than sourcing from less attractive alternatives such as brokers? HP channel partners have successfully used HP Renew products to blunt the competition in a bid situation and it’s a better alternative to deeply discounting new product. Plus, if there are product constraints on new or long fulfillment cycles, this is a quick and easy way to supplement an order. 7. Who is eligible to buy HP Renew products? For Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking products: • End-User customers who utilize any HP Enterprise Authorized Partner and their associated distributors • End-User customers currently pre-qualified to buy direct from Hewlett-Packard utilizing their existing Purchase Agreement Discount (PAD) contract or Volume End-User (VEU) contract by means of any HP Customer Business Center or HP Inside Sales Center For HP ProLiant Servers, Commercial Storage and Networking products: • Any HP Partner with a signed Business Development Agreement (BDA) and appropriate addenda on file with HP • End-User customers can purchase directly from a designated HP Partner Back to top
8. How do I get a quote or place an order for HP Renew products? • For Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking products, simply work with your HP distributor to obtain remanufactured quotes and orders for your customers. • For HP ProLiant Servers, Commercial Storage and Networking products, contact your HP Renew representative. 9. Are sales of HP Renew products eligible for PartnerOne and FinBen credit? In addition to the other benefits realized by purchasing HP remanufactured products, HP authorized channel partners are also eligible to receive PartnerOne and FinBen credit for HP Renew enterprise deals. This can assist in achieving a higher membership level which brings additional benefits, such as more rebates and greater collaboration with HP in pursuing new business for your organization. 10. Is HP Renew affiliated with HP Financial Services or TVS? HP Renew and HP Financial Services (HPFS) are two separate organizations. Although HP Renew does partner with HPFS on remarketed leasing opportunities, there are key differences between HP Renew fully remanufactured products and pre-owned equipment offered by Technology Value Solutions (TVS), which is the remarketing division of the HPFS organization. Eighty percent (80%) of the products in the HP Renew Program are current generation less than one year old and are backed by same-as-new HP warranty, service and support. TVS can come into play where older technologies are in demand, typically older than 18 months, and come with limited warranties. These products will no longer be available through HP Renew and we will be happy to refer you to the appropriate TVS sales representative in such cases. Back to top
11. How do I know what products are currently available through the HP Renew Program? For Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking products, visit the HP Inventory Today web site for current availability on these products. This site also relays pertinent information about applicable promotions and specific availability conditions that may apply to any given product. As this site is globally oriented, it is important that you filter out other regions in order that you can see what, specifically, is available in your part of the world. Inventory Today can be reached at the following URL*: www.hp.com/go/renewinventory. *Please note that not all products are available in all regions. If you don’t see the products you’re looking for, feel free to contact your Renew representative. They often have visibility to incoming inventory that may not be posted yet on Inventory Today.
For HP ProLiant Servers and Commercial Storage products, current inventory can be accessed at www.hp.com/go/renewpricing. To verify inventory and place an order, please contact your Renew representative. HP Renew products cannot be shipped outside of the Americas (US, Canada, Latin America), but we do have qualified sales teams that can assist in other regions. 13. What about promotions and other special offers on HP Renew products? HP Renew routinely runs regular promotions and in some instances, one-off special offers, on a variety of HP Renew products. All current promotional offers published here are, in most cases, cumulative with Purchase Agreement Discounts and Volume End User Discounts to yield greater cost savings for you. HP Renew Enterprise products are also included in Value Express Pricing (VEP) with discounted pricing to partners and the Value Big Deals process can be used if more aggressive discounts need to be requested. One-off specials are typically not published at this site, but are routinely emailed to existing HP Renew channel partners.
