Step 1 — Keyboard

 Make sure your computer is powered down and unplugged from the charger before removing any components. 

Remove the ten 8.9mm screws (underneath where the battery would be) holding the keyboard and bezel in place.

Step 2



Flip the computer over to the front (keyboard-side up).



Gently pop the bezel off by reaching underneath it and pulling up.

 If you are doing this for the first time, the bezel may require you to exert a little bit more force to remove it.

The keyboard is held in by three small tabs near the bezel of the computer. Lifting the bezel frees the three tabs.

 If you are removing the keyboard, the tabs will require a bit more upward force to pull away from the keyboard. 

Remove the ribbon connecting the keyboard to the computer by pulling back on the ribbon (away from the track pad).
