Step 1 — Battery 

Shut down the computer and unplug it from the outlet.



With the battery facing away from you, slide and hold the battery release latch to the left.

While holding the release, lift the battery away from the battery bay.



Place the new battery into the battery bay, making sure the connectors are lined up so the battery can click into place.
