Tejas ‘HR’ series packers are single string, hydraulic set, retrievable packers and designed to accommodate a multitude of configurations, including concentric long-string with multi-port by-pass or eccentric configuration for dual string or ESP cable by-pass. Additional by-pass ports are available to accommodate gas venting, injection lines, and/or gauge lines. These ‘HR’ packers requires no tubing movement during set. The standard combination HNBR elements may be upgraded to a premium elastomer such as AFLAS or FKM, as required. The element system resists swabbing even at high run speeds. Leak potential is reduced by utilizing minimal o-rings. The HR series packers utilize large slip engagement with bi-directional carburized barrel type slips, rigidly holding the packer in place and minimizing the risk of casing damage. This straight pull to release packers is rated up to 6,500 PSI differential pressure from above or below, depending on the shear release setting value. Shear values are easily modified. Once released, the HR series packers can be moved up or down without concern of resetting the packer.
