HS Mission Trip 2015 Info Sheet
WHAT IS THE HIGH SCHOOL MISSION TRIP? This Spring Brea k, we will be taking our students to Southeast Kentucky for an amazing week of worship, service, hard work, and encouragement. Our group is headed to Big Creek Missions in Bear Branch, KY where will stay for the week. We will help local homeowners with housing needs, partner with area churches and other ministries to offer services as well as work with any local schools or day camps. On our way to Big Creek Missions we will stop and stay in Louisville and attend Southeast Christian Church on Sunday Morning. The band, Awaken, that has led many years of ICYC and Junior High Believe, is from Southeast as well as the teacher/author Kyle Idleman.
WHEN IS THE MISSION TRIP THIS YEAR? We will be taking our High School Mission Trip this year March 24-29th. Our plan is to leave mid-morning on Sa turda y, March 24th, so that we can arrive in plenty of time to get settled and maybe explore a little in Louisville. Then, we will attend church at SECC Sunday before making our way to Big Creek Missions. We will return in the afternoon on Thursday, March 29th. This trip is a little shorter than normal because we want to make sure your family can be together for any Good Friday or Easter plans that you may have.
WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR THE MISSION TRIP? Students who would like to participate in the High School Mission Trip will need to register online (see instructions below). In addition to the online registration, students will need: · A completed Converse Church of Christ Release Form (for 2017-18) · The $300 Registration Fee (a $75 Non-refundable deposit is due January 28th.) · Money for meals on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, snacks, souvenirs ....
