Dear Families, It is hard to believe that classroom teachers will soon begin preparing 2nd Trimester report cards. Report cards will be sent home with students on Tuesday, March 20th. ParentTeacher Conferences will be scheduled for the afternoon and evening on Thursday, March 29th. This week we accepted an award for our participation in the WinterKids Challenge. Also, our third graders hosted a visit from WMTW 8 Meteorologist Ted McInerney. Our students enjoyed this exciting visit and lesson all about weather! As part of our Read Across America celebration, our PTA is planning a Book Character Bash to be held on Friday, March 2nd at 6pm. I hope you plan to join us for this first annual FREE, fun family event. Donations will be accepted at the door and there will be refreshments for sale. Wishing you all a healthy and happy vacation week! See you soon, Mrs. Gould

Crayola has a FREE program that allows for any brand of marker (with or without the cap) to be recycled, rather than thrown in a landfill when they are out of ink. All we have to do is box them up, print a label, and mail them in - all for free! Send your old markers in to school and we will recycle them!
PTA News Join us for our Book Character Bash, a fun dance for the entire family, on Friday, March 2nd, 6:00 8:00 pm. Free admission! Instead of charging per ticket, we will be accepting donations to help support the Helen Thompson PTA. All children must be accompanied by an adult, please. Volunteer sign-ups will be on our Facebook page soon. The CLYNK Challenge is running now through March 26th. For every $1 earned, Hannaford will donate an additional 50¢.
