The American Red Cross and the University of Chicago Human Rights Program Undergraduate Workshop on International Humanitarian Law
Humanitarian Action & Humanitarian Principles in Armed Conflict Saturday, November 12 - Sunday, November 13, 2011 10 am to 4 pm Harper Memorial Library - Room 130 1116 E. 59th Street This workshop features discussion and hands-on exercises to introduce students to international humanitarian law (IHL), international aid organizations, and the rules governing humanitarian action in conflict zones. The workshop is focused on an undergraduate audience, but all current or recent students and faculty are welcome to attend. Seating is limited, so registration is encouraged, but not required. Students will receive a certificate of completion for attending.
