Camp Instructors
Keith Hopkins – Sprints/Hurdles Hopkins is in his third season as an assistant coach for the Indiana State University Track and Field team after serving as an assistant coach at Baker University for two years. Hopkins is a USATF Level 2 certified coach, USTFCCCA certified in the jumps, and is USA weightlifting sports performance certified.
Jeff Martin – Pole Vault & Long Jump/Triple Jump Jeff Martin is in his tenth year as the pole vault, long jump and triple jump coach at Indiana State. During his time as an assistant, Martin has coached a four time NCAA Pole Vault Champion, Kylie Hutson, four All-American jumpers and multiple conference champions. Martin is a Level 2 coach through USATF in both the Jumps and Combined Events.
Kyle Walsh – XC/Distance Angela Martin – High Jump Angela Martin is the head coach for the Sycamore women and has had a two-time national champion, 12 AllAmericans, 27 conference champions, and 65 AllConference performers. She has directed the high jump camp for 7 years.
Kyle Walsh is the head women’s cross country coach and also serves as an assistant track and field coach for both the men and womens track teams. In 2016 the womens distance record book was rewritten by athletes coached by Walsh. Walsh also acts as the assistant director for the prestigious Culver Distance camp.

Matt Somerlot – Throws Sycamore Alumni, Matt Somerlot is the head coach at Centerville High School in Ohio. During his time at Centerville, Somerlot has produced 11 State Champions and has had over 40 athletes go on and compete at the NCAA Division I or II level.

Check-In/Out: Check-in will be Tuesday, June 21 between 10:00 am and noon in the Hulman Memorial Student Union. The first session begins at 1:30pm. Check-out will be Thursday, June 23 following the early afternoon session (approx. 3:00pm). Residential/Day Campers Fees: Resident camper fee is $300.00. This covers room and board, medical insurance, camp t‐shirt and all instruction. A registration deposit of $100.00 must accompany your registration information form. The balance is due at check-in.
Transportation: Campers must provide their own transportation to and from camp. Facilities: All camp activities will take place at the newly opened Gibson Track & Field Complex on the campus of Indiana State University. Other university buildings will also be used. Equipment: Campers are encouraged to bring their own throwing implements and pole vaulting poles. Equipment will be available for use by campers that cannot bring their own.
Day camper fee is $250.00. This covers noon and evening meal, medical insurance, Camp t-shirt, and all instruction. A registration deposit of $100.00 must accompany your registration information form. The balance is due at check-in. To Enroll: Fill out Registration Information Form and return it with your check payable to SYCAMORE TRACK CAMP. Detailed camp schedule, parental release form and medical release form will be sent following the receipt of the registration information form.
