IACTE Conference Closing Session Speaker Carl Hobbs
Carl Hobbs has worked for over 25 years in the area of leadership development serving at-risk youth, high school and college students as well as faculty and staff. He is president of the Lead Early, Lead Now leadership series on developing strong leaders at an early age. He is a Golden Apple Teacher of Excellence (2011) and an Investing in Excellence Golden Apple Administrator (2014). Carl has presented at numerous high schools and colleges in the areas of leadership, career development, business and personal marketing. Carl’s recent focus has been on the power of formative assessments to transform teaching and learning. He utilizes his years of teaching hands-on, 21st century learning strategies in Career and Tech Ed. to bridge the gap between the “regular” classroom and CTE. He believes the merging of what we do in career and technical education with the core curriculum is the foundation for a better future for our students. We need to lead the way.
