Prospective Student-Athlete Ticket Request Unofficial and Official Visits

NOTE: In sports other than basketball and football, an official or unofficial visit shall not occur before September 1 at the beginning of the prospective student-athlete’s junior year in high school. In men's basketball, an official visit shall not occur before August 1 at the beginning of his junior year in high school while an unofficial visit shall not occur before August 1 at the beginning of his sophomore year. In women's basketball, an official visit shall not occur before the Thursday following the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship game of the prospective student-athlete's junior year. In football, an official visit shall not occur before April 1 of a prospective student-athlete’s junior year through the Sunday before the last Wednesday in June or before the beginning of opening day of classes of the senior year. I understand: (a) During the official visit, a prospective student-athlete may receive a maximum of six complimentary admissions to a home athletics event at any facility within a 30-mile radius of ISU’s main campus in which ISU’s intercollegiate team practices or competes. Such complimentary admissions are for the exclusive use of the prospective student-athlete and those persons accompanying the prospective student-athlete on the visit and must be issued only through a pass list on an individual-game basis, as specified by NCAA Bylaw 13.6.7.2. (b) During an unofficial visit, ISU may not pay any expenses or provide any entertainment except a maximum of three complimentary admissions (issued only through a pass list) to a home athletics event at any facility within a 30-mile radius of a ISU’s main campus in which ISU’s intercollegiate team practices or competes. Such complimentary admissions are for the exclusive use of the prospective student-athlete and those persons accompanying the prospective student-athlete on the visit and must be issued on an individualgame basis, as specified by NCAA Bylaw 13.7.3.1. EXCEPTION: If a prospective student-athlete is a member of a nontraditional family (e.g., divorce, separation), ISU may provide up to two additional complimentary admissions to the prospective student-athlete in order to accommodate the parents accompanying the prospective student-athlete (e.g., stepparents).
