IMMIGRANTS IN INDIANA: VITAL TO OUR ECONOMIC FUTURE The state of Indiana benefits from the presence of immigrants, who provide vital contributions to the economy and community life. •

In Indiana 4.5% of the population and 5.4% of the workforce is foreign-born.



More than half (58.7%) of the immigrant population are homeowners.





9.5% of children in Indiana live with at least one foreign-born parent. 83.8% of these children are citizens of the United States by birth.
