GETTING STARTED □ Decide whether your organization would like to participate in the 2015 LivePCGivePC.org campaign. □ Mark all calendars with the selected day for the campaign: November 6, 2015. □ Select a staff member or volunteer who has strong leadership and organizational skills and can commit to the entire campaign timeline and process. □ Give that person a copy of this checklist and support them in the process. □ Bookmark livepcgivepc.org, add
[email protected] to your contacts. Set Up Your Nonprofit Page on Razoo □ More information can be found in the toolkit. □ Log on to www.razoo.com/p/for_nonprofits □ Create a personal account with your name and email address □ Apply for administrative access to your nonprofit’s page □ Once approved, login to your account and click “My NPO” from the right side of the website’s header. The area labeled “Nonprofit Completion Steps” will walk you through completing your page: □ Summary: Add your mission statement or overview of your organization. □ Tell Your Story: Use this space to show a success of your nonprofit’s efforts. Be brief, even though you have 5,000 characters. Tie your story in with two main themes of the campaign: 1. Your nonprofit touches people in daily life, and 2. What kind of community you want to live in. □ Suggested Donation Amount: Add some amounts and purposes for donors to choose from. □ Custom URL: You have one chance to choose a unique extension for donors to help find your donation page. □ Images & Video: Add your own photos and videos to further enhance your message. You can also add captions to each to further explain. □ Include LivePCGivePC.org photos and video with your own to emphasize the overall campaign. □ Thank Donors: Add your own thank you video or the LivePCGivePC.org thank you video. Add your own thank you message that will appear in the donor’s thank you email. Note: if your nonprofit is not listed on Razoo, please email
[email protected] or fax 866-‐322-‐1722 a copy of your EIN issuance letter and IRS letter declaring your public charity status under section 501(c)3.

AUGUST o Register to participate in Live PC Give PC 2015 on livepcgivepc.org. Deadline: September 30 o Set up or refresh your donation page on Razoo (see box on previous page). Deadline: October 5 o RSVP to participate on our Miner’s Day Parade float: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/30E0A4EA4A82D6-‐live2 o Attend a training; it will cover the basics of the campaign and using Razoo. o ‘Like’ the Live PC Give PC Facebook page, and follow the Live PC Give PC Twitter and Instagram accounts. SEPTEMBER o Have fun at the Miner’s Day parade. o Register to participate in Live PC Give PC 2015 on livepcgivepc.org. Deadline: Wednesday, September 30 o Set up or refresh your donation page on Razoo (see box on previous page) Deadline: Monday, October 5 o Send a 120-‐character description of your nonprofit to Ollie (
[email protected]). Include your logo and a picture. We will use this as content for social media. Due: September 15, 2015 if you would like us to post about you o Begin approaching corporations, local businesses, board members, and generous supporters who love your organization about matching grants. o Promote the event in your newsletter, in email blasts, with free PSAs and on your website & explain that November 6, 2015 is THE time to give in Park City. o Encourage friends, board members, and your organization’s supporters to ‘Like’ and follow Live PC Give PC on social media. OCTOBER o October 1 -‐ Mandatory all-‐nonprofit happy hour meeting at the Christian Center. Sign up for Day of promotional activity/activities. Decide to either spearhead an outreach activity or volunteer to help another group’s efforts. Suggestions include: street corners, bars, grocery stores, and schools. o Set up or refresh your donation page on Razoo (see box on previous page) Deadline: Monday, October 5 o Finalize agreement with donor for challenge grant. o Go to Sign Up Genius to see list of opportunities and to sign up online at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0a4ea4a82d6-‐live4 o Include information in organization newsletter, especially your challenge grants (see newsletter template in Nonprofit Toolkit). o Check out other tools in the Nonprofit Toolkit, including email, poster and PSA templates. Personally ask top donors and talk about the day in regular conversation. Update your Facebook status with a link to the Live PC Give PC landing page: http://www.razoo.com/p/livepcgivepc
1-‐2 Weeks Before the Day of Giving o Email supporters to remind them about the day. o Set up your matching grant on Razoo. o Update your social media on a daily basis. o Send supporters a link to your organization’s Razoo page where they can donate. o Make sure you ‘Like’ the Live PC Give PC Facebook page and follow the Live PC Give PC Twitter and Instagram accounts. o Set up your donation day badge. o Go to Sign Up Genius to see list of opportunities and to sign up online at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0a4ea4a82d6-‐live4 1-‐2 Days Before the Day of Giving (Nov. 4-‐5) o Make sure widget appears on website home page and is working. o Send out email blast reminders to supporters and ask them to spread the word throughout their circles of influence. Confirm volunteers for Day of activities: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0a4ea4a82d6-‐live4 The Day of (Nov. 6!) o Use Status Widget o Send 3 emails throughout the day to supporters. § Update them on fundraising progress. § Remind them of your overall goal. § Provide a reason for them to give again, like the challenge grant, prizes. § Let them know if any “prizes” have been won. o Utilize social media to cheer on donors with status updates. o Ask questions to generate conversation & community. The Day After the Day of Giving (Nov. 7) o Announce your successes on social media and your website. § Challenge grants met § Number of donors § Money raised o Send thank you emails to donors 1-‐2 days after the event.

§ Tell them how their donation was put to good work and made a difference. Don’t forget to provide updates about your nonprofit and make it easy for them to stay in touch. o Send physical thank you notes or make phone calls to top donors. o Add all donors to your database, invite them to cultivation events and/or one-‐on-‐one meetings. o Remove widget/badge/whatever it is from website – unless you are keeping it for year-‐round donations. Further Aftermath from the Day of Giving o Fill out survey for Park City Community Foundation and Razoo Foundation about your experience and success during the event – visit www.livepcgivepc.org. o Make sure to share final numbers in newsletter and other communications. o Sign up for next year!
