Important things to know before taking the ImPACT baseline test:

Computer Instructions 1. Make sure you are using Internet Explorer 7.0 and above or Firefox 9.0 or above. Chrome and Safari are not recommended or supported. Tests also cannot be run on Chromebooks. 2. You must have Macromedia FLASH PLAYER 11.0 or newer installed. You can download FLASH PLAYER at www.adobe.com 3. If you have a pop up blocker installed you must turn it off for the duration of the test. 4. It is recommended you close all other programs on your computer before taking the test. 5. You will need a broadband internet connection (high speed internet). 6. The computer you use must have an external mouse (cannot use touchpad). 7. The screen must be 12 inches or larger. 8. Java Script must be enabled. 9. If you are running Windows 7, make sure power management is set to High Performance; otherwise performance will be slowed negating test scoring. General Instructions 1. The test will take 30-40 minutes of uninterrupted time to complete. 2. You will need a quiet environment, free from any distractions (phones, barking dogs, etc.), for the duration of the test. 3. Parents can assist students with completing the demographic information, previous head injury information, medications, etc. but should leave the room when the test begins so the athlete has no distractions. 4. Be sure to read and carefully follow all the test instructions. 5. Once completed, the test results are stored and can be used for comparison in case of any future injury. 6.
