Regents In-District Scanning Process Overview
District scans answer sheets to the LHRIC after:
Teachers have completed scoring the CR questions
All student information is completed for walk-in answer sheets
All Constructed Response Scores and Teacher Responses are REQUIRED and must be bubbled on each answer document If applicable, bubble Student Testing Accommodations & Alternate Language All student information is filled in at the top of the answer sheets Student ID is written on the bottom left of each answer sheet and must be 9 Digits 000000000
Students MUST be in the SIS and loaded to L1 DW If the student is out of district- The District Code and Student ID needs to be from their DOR

District receives confirmation emails of transmission District receives email with any missing information from the sheets (CRs or student IDs)
District must look for the answer sheet, complete missing information and re-scan updated answer sheets only
Within 24 hours of scanning complete tests, a Level 1 report will be available with final scores (except students waiting for information) All students must be in the L1 DW, if not, they will not show on the report Proposal available for new districts interested in doing InDistrict Scanning this June 2013

Scanning Software •Click on following Desktop Icon to open program.
•Load Scan Sheets into scanner – Note what test name you’re scanning!
At the Scanning Parameters screen – select from the top dropdown menu and highlight exam name to scan. Click on the Start Scanning button below.
If a sheets gets jammed press Rescan. *(See next slide for further instructions)
If you have more sheets to scan press Resume. The scanner will continue scanning the next batch of sheets you have loaded to it for this exam. •When you are finished click End.
Selecting Rescan will allow you to use the arrows to backup to the last good document. Once on the last good document you can click the ‘RESUME’ button. You must insert the exact same document (Students exam # into the scanner). So basically whichever student is on screen is what needs to be scanned in (followed by the rest of the stack).
•When you are all done click on End and the following options will come up. Please select the following: Would you like to end this exam? Select Yes if you are done scanning this batch.
•If you say YES, then Do you wish to Continue and Transfer the Images comes up. Say YES.
•The images are now on their way to OSC and confirmation e-mail will shortly follow to the assigned e-mail address.

Reporting Regents Assessments
Districts MUST report their exam scores (Assessment Fact) to SIRs through a L0 - L1 load as soon as they have completed processing the exams
