In Loving Memory Dale was born on August 19, 1943, in Moline, the son of Reuben and Nellie Gustafson Peterson. He married Janice Ellett on August 31, 1969 in Moline. A graduate of Alwood High School, he served in the National Guard and farmed property near Woodhull, IL. He went on to be employed by John Deere having worked at Plow Planter as well as the Harvester Works. Dale retired as a supervisor in 2001 after 28 years of service. Dale remained a farmer at heart throughout his life, showcased by his bountiful garden each year. He was an active member of Calvary Church of the Quad Cities. He also enjoyed bowling, wood working and spending time with his family and his dog, Sam. Survivors include his loving wife, Janice; daughters, Amanda Peterson, East Moline, IL, Melinda (Justin) Grau, Coal Valley, IL, and Rhonda (Jason) Beneke, Geneseo, IL; daughter-in-law, Lisa (David) Watson, Cameron, IL; grandchildren, Bryan, Nathan, Jillian and Andrew; siblings, Leland (Harriet) Peterson, Woodhull, IL, and Lois Willard, Cambridge, IL. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Paul.
