In partnership with Richmond Camera, Woodlake Swim & Racquet Club and Woodlake Community Association are hosting the Wild Woodlake Mudder Photo Contest in order to obtain quality photography for promotional use of future Annual Wild Woodlake Mudders. Richmond Camera has generously joined with WSRC and WCA to sponsor the contest.
Winning photographs (First, Second and Third places) in each category will be published through:

All photo submissions become available for promotional use by Woodlake Community Association. Photos must be captured at the Wild Woodlake Mudder event held September 20, 2014, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Submissions are due on September 30, 2014. A physical 8 x 10 print must be submitted to Richmond Camera (13224 Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, VA 23113, 804-378-2621), AND the electronic copy submitted to www.facebook.com/WWMPhotoContest for public voting on the Facebook Group. Online voting begins September 20, 2014 and ends at midnight on September 30, 2014. The facebook vote, in conjunction with the votes of the expert judges, will determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each of the judging categories.
Judging Categories:
Human Emotion: This is your chance to let your picture be worth a thousand words. Entries in this category excel at highlighting the joy of triumph, the agony of fear, the seriousness of concentration that the athletes competing or their spectators experience in the Wild Woodlake Mudder. Unique Perspective: Photography allows us to see the world we experience every day in a new way. Entries in this category showcase a captured viewpoint that brings new interest to the composition of the image. Captured Action: The Wild Woodlake Mudder is a challenging photographic environment because your subjects are constantly on the move. Entries for the Captured Action category convey the sense of motion and the excitement of the event. Natural Elements: The scenic community of Woodlake, located on Swift Creek Reservoir, is hosting the Mudder, and brings a great opportunity for photographing the elements, fire, water, wind, and earth. Bring your creativity for entries in this category make use of all the natural elements available on the course and at the event.
Cost:
There is no entry fee. Participation in judging will require the printing of one 8”x10” per entry. Richmond Camera has agreed to print those images for the contest at a 50% discount from retail ($2.99 per 8 x 10).
