Cutting   One set of cutting instructions is given, and can be used for any of the quilts. Fabrics are cut in order given in Materials lists. Cut strips across width of fabric, unless otherwise instructed. From Pinstripe, cut: ■ 3 strips, 5¼" x 40"; crosscut 15 squares, each 5¼" x 5¼"; cut each square twice diagonally to make 60 of triangle D ■ 4 strips, 4½" x 40"; crosscut 60 rectangles, 4½" x 2½" for M rectangles ■ 4 strips, 2½" x 40", for strip-piecing L squares From Leaf Outline, cut: ■ 3 strips, 5¼" x 40"; crosscut 15 squares, each 5¼" x 5¼"; cut each square twice diagonally to make 60 of triangle J ■ 4 strips, 4½" x 40"; crosscut 60 rectangles, 4½" x 2½" for G rectangles ■ 4 strips, 2½" x 40", for strip-piecing F squares From Mosaic, cut: ■ 5 strips, 5¼" x 40"; crosscut 30 squares, each 5¼" x 5¼"; cut each square twice diagonally to make 120 of triangle B From Orange Tossed Seeds (for Purple/Orange Quilt -ORGreen/Orange Quilt), cut: ■ 4 strips, 2½" x 40", for strip-piecing E squares From Purple Tossed Seeds (for Purple/Orange Quilt -ORGreen/Orange Quilt), cut: ■ 4 strips, 2½" x 40", for strip-piecing K squares From Taupe Tossed Seeds (for Black/Taupe Quilt), cut: ■ 8 strips, 2½" x 40", for strip-piecing E and K squares From Umbels, cut: ■ 5 strips, 5¼" x 40"; crosscut 30 squares, each 5¼" x 5¼"; cut each square twice diagonally to make 120 of triangle I

From Seed Grid, cut: ■ 5 strips, 5¼" x 40"; crosscut 30 squares, each 5¼" x 5¼"; cut each square twice diagonally to make 120 of triangle C ■ 9 strips, 2½" x 40", for double-fold binding From Large Leaves, cut: ■ 2 strips, 4½" x 40"; crosscut 15 squares, each 4½" x 4½", for A squares (Purple/Orange Quilt -OR- Green/ Orange Quilt) or H squares (Black/Taupe Quilt) From Sprig Silhouette, cut: ■ 2 strips, 4½" x 40"; crosscut 15 squares, each 4½" x 4½", for H squares (Purple/Orange Quilt -OR- Green/ Orange Quilt) or A squares (Black/Taupe Quilt)

3. Referring to photos for fabric placement, and using 1 A square, 4 B triangles, 8 C triangles, 4 D triangles, 4 E/F segments from Step 1, and 4 G rectangles, assemble a block as shown. Repeat to make a total of 15 blocks. F

From Leaf Stripe, cut: ■ 4 strips, 10" x length of fabric, for border (If you prewash your fabric, you might need to cut your strips narrower than 10" to get the desired portion of the design. Selectively cut strips to get the portion of stripe design – plus seam allowance – as shown in photographs; this will make the design match at the mitered corners.)

Assembly   All seams ¼". Press seams in direction of arrows unless otherwise instructed. Assembly instructions are the same for all three quilts. Refer to photographs for fabric placement. 1. Using 1 Leaf Outline 2½" x 40" strip, and 1 Orange Tossed Seeds -OR- Taupe Tossed Seeds 2½" x 40" strip, assemble a strip unit as shown. Repeat to make a total of 4 strip units. From the strip units, cut a total of 60 segments, each 2½" wide.

Make 15.

4. Referring to photos for fabric placement, and using 1 H square, 4 B triangles, 8 I triangles, 4 J triangles, 4 K/L segments from Step 2, and 4 M rectangles, assemble a block as shown. Repeat to make a total of 15 blocks. L

Pinstripe Make 4 strip units. Cut 60 segments.

Make 15.

5. Sew blocks together in 6 rows of 5 blocks each as shown in the Quilt Assembly Diagram. (Make sure blocks are arranged as shown in photos.) Press for opposing seams from row to row. 6. Sew rows together. Press seams in one direction.

Borders   With right sides together (and making sure that the design is oriented correctly, with the small vine portion of the design at the inner border), pin border strips to sides of quilt top (border strips should extend approximately equally beyond top and bottom of quilt; it’s easiest if you start pinning at the center of border and work outward). Sew border strips to sides of quilt top, beginning and ending ¼" from raw edges of quilt. Backstitch to secure. Press seams toward borders. Now sew the top and bottom borders to the quilt top; start and stop your seams at the point where the side borders join the quilt (¼" from edges). Backstitch to secure. Press seams toward borders. Miter corners using your favorite technique.

Finishing   Layer quilt top, batting, and backing. Quilt as desired. Bind. Don’t forget to sign and date your finished quilt.
