Information is subject to change. You will receive an email closer to the camp start date with specific camp information. Q- Where is the camp located? A- Location- Location- 2755 Station Ave, Center Valley, PA 18034 Q- What time is Check In and Check Out? A- Players can check in between 2:00pm-2:30pm. Check out is between 12:00pm and 12:30pm. [email protected] Q- Is it ok for somebody else to pick up my child at check out? A- Yes but let us know. Email Jade at
[email protected] with arrangements. Q- What is a typical player to coach ratio? A- Ages U10-U13 10-12 players, U14+ 12-18 players Q- How are players grouped at camp? A- Initially players are grouped according to age. Once the coaches have the opportunity to assess each player’s abilities, there may be some movement between groups to ensure each player is challenged maximally. Any teams/groups attending camp will train together. Q- My child is attending camp with their friend. Can they room together? A- Yes. Send rooming requests to Jade at
[email protected]. Rooms typically sleep 2-3 people. We will always do our best to honor any requests. Q- Who will be the coach on the camp? A- All the coaches on the camp will be professional soccer coaches employed by PSA SDFC. All PSA SDFC staff members are fully qualified with either UEFA/USSF coaching licenses. Each coach will remain with the same group throughout the week which allows players and coaches to build rapport, understand training needs and work maximally whilst having fun. Q- Will my child be supervised at all times? A- Yes. Players will always be accompanied by an adult when walking through campus and back at the dorms. The coaches will be responsible for the players on the field and the counselors will be responsible for the players off the field. All counsellors are employed by ATSC. Q- Is the campus safe? Are the dorms secure? A- Yes. The campus has 24hr security. The dorm entrance is locked and can only be accessed by members of staff with key cards. The doors can be opened from the inside (in case of emergencies) but no one is able to get in without the access key. Q- What should my child bring to camp? Q- My child has a medical issue/allergy. What should I do? A- Send the camp director Jade, an email at
[email protected] to make her aware. Also, if possible, speak with one of the coaches on the first day to make them aware. All our coaches are First Aid/CPR qualified and know how to use an epi-pen. Q- When can I speak with my child? A- The days at camp are packed full of activities. We prefer cell phone use to be kept to a minimum and therefore we encourage phone calls to be made in the evening, once we return to the dorms. However, If a player would like to contact home before that time, they can.
