Coaches, Parents and Players: On behalf of the Sandy Springs Youth Sports program and Morgan Falls Park, welcome to the 12th Annual Sandy Springs Slam. We are honored and excited to host your teams and families for this weekend’s three (3) day tournament. We are thrilled to have such a great response to our tournament. There will be over thirty teams representing eleven parks with a total of almost one hundred games played during the 48 hour period with approximately 1,200 individuals visiting the park during the tournament. We will also have vendors at the park throughout the weekend to help meet your culinary needs and entertainment. There will be lots of activity, so we thought this information packet would be helpful to the coaches and families in planning your visit to the tournament. In the following packet, we attempted to accumulate information we felt would be helpful. Please feel free to share with your assistant coaches and families. You will find enclosed in the packet:

Directions to the Park
Morgan Falls Park is located in Sandy Springs north of 285 and just west of Roswell Road. As you approach Morgan Falls Road, look for the North Springs United Methodist Church at the corner of Roswell Rd and Morgan Falls Rd. Once on Morgan Falls Road, you’ll see the Morgan Falls Athletic Fields sign to your left just past the church parking lot. Morgan Falls Park Geographic Address:

From 285: Exit on Roswell Road - North Travel for several miles on Roswell Road (you will go through Hammond Drive, Abernathy Road, and Dalrymple Road) Turn left (west) on to Morgan Falls Road Turn left into Morgan Falls Park From
400 Northbound Get off at Exit 6 - Northridge Road Stay right on the exit ramp and turn right on to Northridge Road Turn left on Roswell Road Turn right (west) on to Morgan Falls Road Turn left into Morgan Falls Park

Reminder of Things to Bring
Insurance Certificate (Proof of Insurance) All teams should be properly equipped to play Copies of Players Birth Certificate o 8U: players born after 12/31/2005 o 10U: players born after 12/31/2003 o 12U: players born after 12/31/2001
Completed Team Roster of Players playing during tournament (see attached form)
Facts and Points of Interest
Weather Updates: o We will email all head coaches if the schedule changes due to inclement weather. o Our park is equipped with a lightning detection system. If the horn sounds, all park guests MUST vacate the fields and dugouts and move to a safe area immediately.
Parking:
o There is parking throughout the park for your convenience. But even with over 350 parking spots there never seems to be enough. We have arranged for additional parking just outside the park. If you park on the entrance road PLEASE use both sides of the road and PULL up on the grass and sidewalk to the park. By doing this it will make it possible for emergency vehicles to enter the park if ever necessary. We have arranged additional parking at:
Saturday: North Springs United Methodist Church at the corner of Roswell Rd and Morgan Falls Rd. Just at the entrance to Morgan Falls Park.
Saturday: WorldPay parking lot – opposite the entrance to the Park on Morgan Falls Road.

Designated Tent Area
