Introduction Ranking a brand new site, great phrase but it doesn’t give a lot away does it? 

What sort of site?

 What kind of Domain? Were you asking those questions? If not, then you should be. I’ve put together a complete ranking method for you which when you strip everything down to the very core is a check-list of what you need to do in order to get to the top of Google. And yes it does work, the system which your about to follow is based on the same system I have been using for some time. I have had some great success following the methods detailed in this course. The constant flow of algorithm changes has signalled the demise of so many websites almost overnight, but not mine. I have my own set of rules and methods and they work just as well today as they did before Google shook everything up. Before I continue I’d like to show you some proof of that very statement just so you know that what I am telling you is the truth.

I want to bring your attention to the purchase date (you can of course verify these details using any Whois lookup site).

The screen shot shows that the domain was registered on January 28th 2013 and updated on the 29th (Name-server change). The keyword I wanted to rank for was Pearly Penile Papules Removal. The following screen shot was taken today 13/1/2014, look out for the listings outlined in red (I will explain the yellow outlines in a moment).

Position 8 & 9 on page 1 of Google for the targeted keyword (screen shot is Google UK – Same or higher in US). It’s over eleven months since I registered and built this blog, yet it still ranks; even after all of last year’s algorithm changes. But please don’t take a few screen shots as being the truth… go check the results for yourself; in fact, I insist you check these results (wherever you live).

Daily unique hits To be honest I’ve been a little bit lazy with both of these sites because I’ve been busy with other interests (no excuse really) but even with little to no work on both sites for months I’m still killing it. Between these two blogs in this weird little niche I receive a minimum of 21,000 unique hits every month (often more). What could you do with 21,000 unique hits in just 1 niche; well you could do whatever you wanted. I built both of these niche related blogs as case studies for Niche Synergy; the .org was built as a stand-alone blog and the .co as an attached blog (more on that in a while). These are real results, results which anyone can easily go and check for themselves and as I said above I really do encourage you to check out my results before continuing.

What sort of site? At the very beginning of this PDF I mentioned two questions which you should be asking, one of which was ‘What sort of site?’ SEO Synergy or rather the methods detailed throughout the course work with WordPress. This will not come as a shock to most of you, but if you are new to setting up WordPress sites then fear not I have you covered; check out the WordPress set-up Lesson. Why WordPress? There is a long and short answer to that question; I’ll stick to the short one. WordPress is built to be SEO friendly, in a nutshell WordPress sites are easier to rank.

What if you already have a non-WordPress site? You have two options, either rebuild in WordPress (If your site does not yet rank), or if you are happy with your existing HTML based site then simply attach a WordPress Blog (folder). I often use this method if I have a sales based site, see the example below for one of my niche marketing projects. Summary: To follow SEO Synergy you will need to use WordPress. This can be as the main site or as an attached blog.

Second question

What kind of Domain? The second question I posed at the beginning of this PDF was ‘What kind of Domain?’ I’m not going to be cryptic about this question or the answer to it. I’ll cut straight to the point; SEO Synergy utilises the use of EMDs. Again most of you will know what an EMD is, for the benefit of those who have no idea what I am talking about an EMD is an exact match domain. For example when I entered the PPP removal niche I found a bunch of keywords which I wanted to target and rank for. The keyword that I really wanted to dominate was ‘Pearly penile papules removal’ so in this case an EMD would have been pearlypenilepapulesremoval.com or .net, etc, etc. It turned out the EMD was taken so I grabbed the next best (also had a great monthly search total). ©Mark Bishop 2014

EMDs – Don’t work anymore I hear that very statement all of the time, I’m sure you have too. But EMDs do work, just not in the way they used to. Let me quickly explain: two or three years ago an EMD based on the right keyword was often all it took to rank high. But that is not the case anymore, Google still credit your site for having an EMD but only if the site provides value to those who visit. By value I am referring to relevant, quality information.

What if you already have a site which is not an EMD? If you already have a website such as a sales page type site which does not have an EMD then you could build a stand-alone EMD based WordPress site and funnel the traffic to your non EMD site. If you are attaching a WordPress blog to an existing site as mentioned above that does not have an EMD then you are going to work that little bit harder, but still very do-able. EMD Summary: Regardless of what you may have heard; EMDs are still an important aspect for fast and targeted ranking. Ideally you will need an EMD for SEO Synergy to work at full power, or, as mentioned above you will need to work harder to achieve your goal.

Content SEO Synergy is a content based program. Google require high quality relevant content in order to view your site as being relevant to whatever niche you are trying to rank for. Almost everything I do in order to rank my sites is content based, that includes most of the backlinks. I have three methods of content production which are as follows: Almost all of the content added to my sites is either written by me or outsourced, quality really does count. I outsource most of my content production on Elance; I normally pay $35 for 6x 400+ word articles. I know for a fact that I could get them done cheaper but I’m a creature of habit and tend to stick with the writers I know and trust. The third method I use is content spinning. I tend to use spun content off my site, I.e. content pointing at my site rather than actually being added to my site. Many of you will have your favourite spinning software and if that’s you; stick with it. I’ve tried quite a few spinning tools over the years often switching between the two best products, which I consider to be: The Best Spinner Spin Rewriter I actually have access to both tools but based on the export feature I tend to use Spin Rewriter most of the time. Both are good though and if you don’t have access to a high quality content spinning tool I can highly recommend both. ©Mark Bishop 2014

Article Titles & Topics Please Note: If you purchased the Tabloid Twist Upgrade refer to it for ways to supercharge you ranking through your content. The correct title and topic for each article / post is very important and very easy to accomplish. At least half of the articles that you either outsource or write yourself should be based around the main buying keyword. For example my case study site targets the key-phrase: Pearly Penile Papules Removal, so at least half of the 12 titles should include the key-phrase (preferably at the beginning of the title), and concentrate on the given subject. Below is a list of the articles I ordered for the PPP project.

Notice that 7 out of the 12 articles I ordered are targeted at the main buying key-phrase. Each of the key-phrase targeted articles will help your site rank well for the term. For anyone interested in outsourcing and job descriptions, I used the following description: Write 12 articles. Each article must be at least 400 words long, be 100% unique, detailed, informative & professional. Please Note: The subject matter may not be to everyone's taste. The subject is 'pearly penile papules' which is a harmless condition which affects the male genitalia. All submitted work will be passed through Copyscape. Definitely no spun or auto-generated work accepted. Please include a piece of recent work when applying.

Hosting You will need hosting (paid) for your websites. Most of you will already have hosting for your projects. If not then there are many hosting companies to choose from. Personally I use two; most of my projects are hosted on a shared plan at Hostgator See WP Set-up for further details on hosting.

Domains As mentioned above; you should use an EMD (exact match domain) for each project. Again there are lots of places to purchase a domain and everyone has their personal favourite, but if you are looking for a recommendation; I use Godaddy

Keywords Please read the Keywords lesson for details on choosing the correct keywords for your projects.

Conclusion I’ll simply summarise the points already covered here. The proof speaks for itself and hopefully by now you will have verified my claims. SEO Synergy requires High quality content, the use of WordPress and preferably an EMD. These elements are crucial to the overall success of this program. You will notice references to what I call the Tabloid Twist throughout SEO Synergy, Tabloid Twist is an upgrade to SEO Synergy, and it is definitely not required to make SEO Synergy work. But it does make the process even quicker. Next Step – Keywords.
