“Work at everything you do with all your heart. Work as if you were working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Colossians 3:23 (NIrV)
Devotional Thought: Have you ever heard the story of The Three Little Pigs? Two of the pigs did not put much effort into their houses, and the wolf came and blew their houses to the ground. The pigs that built their houses with half the effort got less than half the result—no house! Have you ever done something halfway? Maybe you did your homework, but you didn’t check the answers or you wrote super sloppy. Maybe you were told to clean your room, so you threw everything under the bed or in the bottom of your closet. You may wonder why you need to clean your room or do homework, but both are needed. You shouldn’t think that your parents or teachers are just being mean when they ask you to do something; instead, think about how you obeying pleases God. Taking Action: Make a pitcher of Kool-Aid, but do not add the sugar. Then, taste it. Then, add the sugar that the package tells you to add and drink again. It’s never good to do things only halfway.
