It’s Still All About Deficit Reduction! • Although the pressure is off – to some extent -‐ Congress s-ll focus on deficit • Grant funding protected last two years • Budget deal gave reprieve from sequester for FY14 and FY15

• Since FY10, grants down 40% or $1.2B • Grants cut to save federal LE agencies and grow BOP • Most grants level funded in FY14 • This year’s bills hold most grant programs steady
