Installing Windows on your Mac using Parallels Desktop
Installing Windows on your Mac using Parallels Desktop With “Upgrade Media” Step 1: Please read all instructions carefully before proceeding. Step 2: Create a new virtual machine In the Applications folder open Parallels Desktop and choose File > New.
Click Install Windows or another OS from DVD or image file, then click Continue.
Step 3: Select the installation media
You can also switch to manual mode and choose the source for Windows installation.
STOP – If this is your first installation of Windows, leave your product key blank and continue to the next step! Step 4: Enter your Windows product key Click Continue. In the Windows Product Key window, leave Express installation selected.
Note: If you uncheck Express installation, you will need to install Parallels Tools manually after the Windows installation. When you are ready, click Continue.
Step 5: Select how you want to use Windows Step 6: Specify a name and location
Step 7: Begin the installation
Once the installation is completed, run the Installer from the .exe file or the disk again. This time, enter the product key. This will enable Windows as a full genuine version.
