Download the latest version of WordPress via the Microsoft Web Platform Installer.

When the Web Platform Installer opens, confirm that you want to install WordPress by clicking “Install”.

Set your root username’s password. You can choose whatever password you like, but it’s customary to use “root” as the password also. Click “Continue.”

Next, you will have to install MySQL, in addition to WordPress, since WordPress uses MySQL as its database.

The installation process may take a bit so just hold tight. :) When it’s done, you will be prompted to configure a whole suite of authentication keys:

Set up a key for each one of the fields. Pick keys that will be easy for you to remember, or write them down. That said, you won’t need them immediately! Click “Continue” and you should see this:

Click “Finish” and you will next see a window like this:
Give it a beat, and WordPress will open up automatically in your browser.

STEP 5
Now that your WordPress files are downloaded and your MySQL downloaded and configured, go ahead and finish the WordPress installation!
Select your language, then click “Continue.”

Next, pick your username, password and site title:
Follow the rest of the instructions to complete the installation.

STEP 6
Once the installation is complete, proceed to the WordPress login page and, using the username and password you created, log in!

You will now find yourself in the WordPress Dashboard:
To view the site, click the site title in the top left corner, and you will see… this!!
